Woodbury Junior Cricket Club The Junior section of the club in 2008 is planning to enter three teams in the Devon Youth League:- Under 10’s soft ball and U 11’s hard ball, Manager Jeff Cooper (233207) and under 12’s hard ball, Manager Martin Cook (270544).  The older age group (up to age 16) will be organised by Chalky White (268039) and Mickey Beer (232703).  Cricket practice and coaching will continue on a Monday night at 6.30 (for boys year 6 and below and for girls year 8 and below) and on a Tuesday night at 6.30 (for boys years 7-10 and girls years 9-10).  If interested please contact any of the above or Tim Greenslade (232767).

Local History Society  The object of the Society is to study the parish of Woodbury from its early foundation, tracing its farms, houses, occupations and activities.  An archive of books, photographs and a variety of documents and papers is held by the Society.  Meetings, with speakers on a variety of historical topics, are held on the first Thursday of March, May, September and November in Woodbury Village Hall.  The AGM and a Social are held in February and the July Meeting is a visit or walk to a local place of interest.  The annual subscription is £7.00 for adults.  Secretary: Gill Selley, 233208.  Archivist: Carol McFadzean 01392 431471.

Scouts and Guides meet in the H.Q. on Woodbury Playing Field during School term.  The movement runs an adventurous training programme and camping and outdoor activities.

Short Mat Bowls  Played in Woodbury Village Hall from 19.00 - 22.00 on Tuesdays, except 2nd Tuesday in each month, when it will be held on the Wednesday.  Friendly, League and County matches played.  New members welcome.  Secretary: Roy Howell.  233135. 

Skittles   Skittles are played at The Maltsters' Arms and The White Hart.  These alleys can be booked from the respective Landlords for both friendly and league games.  Mens and Ladies teams are members of the Woodbury and District Skittles Association and compete in league and cup games. 

Twinning Association  The aim is to foster friendship between the parish of Woodbury and the Commune of Bretteville-sur-Odon (near Caen, France) and to learn more of the French way of life.  Visits are arranged in alternate years.  The Association has an active diary of social events:  Membership open to all members of the parish who are interested in the aims of the association.  Subscription £7.50 for individuals and £15.00 for families.  Secretary: Helen Hellier 233645.

Woodbury Village Golf Society  Visits six south west golf courses per year and welcomes golfers from Woodbury and district.  Further details from Chairman – Nick Luton 233203.

Woodbury Lace Group  Formed in 1997 as an informal and friendly group which extends a warm welcome to those who wish to join them in the craft of lacemaking or any other handicraft.
