SPORTS GRANT INFORMATION FROM EDDC
There is £50m of funding available through Sport England
to improve tired, worn out sports facilities to make it easier for people to
start or keep doing sport. I would be grateful if you could let the relevant
people in your communities know about this funding. I may have ‘Blind
Copied’ you into this e-mail as you have previously been in contact with me
about funding for sports facilities.
Improvements could be things like:
·
Building modernisation
·
Outdoor sports lighting
·
Outdoor sports surfaces and AdiZones
·
Modular buildings
·
Sports equipment
Community and voluntary organisations and Town and Parish
Councils can apply for between £20,000 and £50,000
Local authorities, statutory organisations and educational
establishments such as schools can apply for between £20,000 and £150,000

SANDBAGS
The Parish Council will have a supply of unfilled sandbags (the filled variety are bulky to store and disintegrate in time if they are not used) during the winter for distribution to residents concerned that they may be flooded. The following councillors hold the supplies - please request them in good time so that you are not caught napping!
