SPORTS GRANT INFORMATION FROM EDDC
There is £50m of funding available through Sport England
to improve tired, worn out sports facilities to make it easier for people to
start or keep doing sport. I would be grateful if you could let the relevant
people in your communities know about this funding. I may have ‘Blind
Copied’ you into this e-mail as you have previously been in contact with me
about funding for sports facilities.
Improvements could be things like:
·
Building modernisation
·
Outdoor sports lighting
·
Outdoor sports surfaces and AdiZones
·
Modular buildings
·
Sports equipment
Community and voluntary organisations and Town and Parish
Councils can apply for between £20,000 and £50,000

PLANNING FOR NON-PLANNERS
Would your community group benefit from training in aspects of town planning?
Planning Aid is a national charity that provides free and independent professional planning advice and free training packages to individuals and communities unable to afford the services of a planning consultant.
Your regional branch, South West Planning Aid, is currently programming a number of training sessions across the region, covering these key topics:
1 How do I make a planning application (do I need to make one?)
2 How do I influence or stop a planning application?
3 How can I use the planning system to improve my area?
4 Making effective representations – how to have your say
5 Making sense of planning applications – understanding plans and documents
If you are interested in any of the above, please contact the Parish Council advising which topics are of particular interest to you and we will volunteer to host one of these workshops.
